Kevin Middlemiss’s need for speed brought us a radical racecar that has now inspired our take on a Moscow Mule. We’ve cranked up an old-school malt-based ginger beer recipe with bold citrus forward hops for a spicy, zesty and refreshing pale ale with a smooth caramel hit.

Built by Kenny, brought to Ohope, now rolling deep with Sulphur City, E.D. is a flaked, candied, laced, velvet, scaled and striped clash fantasy. Serving 80s excess AND 90s gangsta.

Strange Magic

A bumper-dragging, boot-flapping, blistered and blistering Bel Air driven mad by its maker. Born with two wheels too many. Bought for the doors and left to fester til Russ Lowe turned it from wreck to racecar in 42 days. A quintessential gasser, deranged and named after a mate’s magic act. Ain’t no trailer queen. Happily thrashed metal. In a broken stone age dawn she flies so high.

Strange Magic, a perfectly dishevelled ‘56 Chev is wheelstanding its way via video into our social feeds now. This half Sour, half Hazy IPA is also built with bits and pieces, and its bold, juicy, citrus bounce is a crowd pleaser likeits namesake.

Uncertain T

Uncertain ale, 440ML

A handmade monster, coming in hot, propelled by an angry overcooked nailhead. Built in secret from a Monogram model of Steve Scott’s mystery machine. The Barris beater. Not seen since the '70s. Til a Cambridge craftsman unleashed their spitting image at SEMA. One wicked wind-up. A tangerine dream. Not bad for a Straggler.

We did the twist with this vanilla-infused ale,inspired by '60s milk bars where you mightafound a bucket like Uncertain-T once waitingfor a shake. Bringing major dessert vibes withits creamy texture and cherry tang on top.

Wild Bunch

Fresh Hop ipa, 440ML

Drag racing’s renegades are revived. In it to spin it, they burn out forbragging rights, throwing holy smoke, then floor it ASAP backwards. Tanks are slapped, walls are tagged,lanes are crossed and spectators get an old fashioned spectacle. This bunch was absolutely born to be.

Packing big blocks and beasty feet into factory cars is a recipe for volatility. So is brewing with fresh hop conesfrom an experimental hop variety for the first time. The late-flowering NZ101 hop brings delicious risk to the mix, bouncing off Moutere and Rakauto deliver a wild, fruity, resinous ride.
